I’ve always been very vocal about “dieting.” As I get older, though, I’ve realized more and more it’s about lifestyle changes. Eating healthy and in moderation. Working out. Treating my body with respect and giving it the care it deserves.
Whether you are looking to kickstart your goals or maintain weight, I want to share my latest find with you. This February, I was invited to play a game with DietBet. DietBet is a game where you place a monetary bet on yourself to lose a certain percentage of weight by the end of that game. At the end of the game, winners who have lost that percentage of weight split the pot. Plus, there are plenty of games hosted by celebrity trainers chock-full of tips and support from other players. It’s a fun way to stay on track while getting incentivized.
As a result, I’ve kept my resolution, I’ve won three rounds in DietBet and lost 16.7% of my body weight. Next week, I’ll be running my fourth half marathon and I continue to challenge myself with new things at the gym. None of this would have been possible without a strong support system.
