Last Minute Gifts?

….Who is guilty?
I know we are!

So what are some last-minute ideas?
A good gift is a personal gift.

Ask yourself what their interests are: What is it they enjoy most?

– Do you have a “foody” in your life? Groupon features great cooking lessons, from making crepes to sushi. Check out your local listings, print up the Groupon, and attach it with a bow to a bottle of wine!

-For our underage friends (cough.. M’s group), why don’t you make homemade coupons to help Mom with dinner for a night? Give the coupons with a platter of their favorite dessert (because who doesn’t like that!?)

– For your exercise buffs, Groupon also features great new classes, like Zumba or Yoga. On a budget? Why not buy her exercise tapes and get fit together! Get a photo album at your dollar store, print up pint-size versions of your favorite healthy recipes, and slide them into the photo album for an inexpensive, thoughtful gift.

Are there any milestones coming up that you can acknowledge?

-If they plan to travel in the upcoming year, you can get things for their trips such as a camera, cute carry-on luggage, or photo album. Top it off with a cute luggage tag as your label!

-If they recently got engaged or married, an ornament is a special touch to any gift. Head to your local bookstore and grab some bridal magazines for the bride-to-be.

Get Creative!

 – My go-to is homemade scrapbooks full of great pictures. For those who can’t even fathom a world of self-adhesive stickers and stock paper, thankfully there are plenty of websites for the artistically challenged. You can make a book, calendar (Walmart $15+), or even a painting (Walmart $10+).

– Buy a jar from the dollar store and fill it with scraps of paper of things you can do together! Be sure to make them personalized and decorate the outside accordingly. Have fun with it!
