Graduations. Wedding showers. Baby showers. There’s a lot to celebrate these days.
Of course, it can also get a little weary picking out thoughtful gifts that won’t break the bank. I’ve found that baby showers in particular are often a struggle to shop for. Mom-to-be’s are often inundated with cute, gender specific outfits. While the gesture is certainly sweet, I can only imagine the endless necessities they are still left to buy. This particular basket was a nod to gifting necessities, like bath products, washcloths, and soft, gentle towels- but still maintaining that “awww” factor.
– Pick a theme. Obviously this example is bath time fun. I even incorporated the theme into the card, which read: “Rub a dub, dub, two baby ducks in a tub! Best wishes as you dive into this new chapter of your lives.”
– Use inexpensive accessories to bring everything together. For this one, I used rubber ducks that I adhered to various products. Of course, you can use small stuffed animals, decorative bottles or toys.
– Don’t forget the small details. Tissue paper, ribbon and paper shreds can all be found at your local dollar store. These small details bring the basket together in a professional way. You can also add signs, scrapbook banners or details outside the plastic wrap for a final touch. Visit your craft store for decorative items that suite your theme.
