Graduations. Wedding showers. Baby showers. There’s a lot to celebrate these days.

Of course, it can also get a little weary picking out thoughtful gifts that won’t break the bank. I’ve found that baby showers in particular are often a struggle to shop for. Mom-to-be’s are often inundated with cute, gender specific outfits. While the gesture is certainly sweet, I can only imagine the endless necessities they are still left to buy. This particular basket was a nod to gifting necessities, like bath products, washcloths, and soft, gentle towels- but still maintaining that “awww” factor.

Pick a theme. Obviously this example is bath time fun. I even incorporated the theme into the card, which read: “Rub a dub, dub, two baby ducks in a tub! Best wishes as you dive into this new chapter of your lives.”

Use inexpensive accessories to bring everything together. For this one, I used rubber ducks that I adhered to various products. Of course, you can use small stuffed animals, decorative bottles or toys.

Don’t forget the small details. Tissue paper, ribbon and paper shreds can all be found at your local dollar store. These small details bring the basket together in a professional way. You can also add signs, scrapbook banners or details outside the plastic wrap for a final touch. Visit your craft store for decorative items that suite your theme.
